This document summarizes a summer internship at the IPRD (Information and Public Relations Department) in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The internship included uploading press releases, reviewing newspapers, arranging press conferences, updating websites, and working as a telecaller for the Jan Samwad Kendra program. The intern also helped organize events at the Governor House. The takeaways from the internship were understanding real-life work situations, improving teamwork, patience, time management, and valuable interactions with experienced PR professionals.

2. About IPRD :
It was established in 2000 after the
formation of Jharkhand State.
It functions as a channel between
the Government and the people of
Jharkhand for flow of information.

3. Functions of IPRD :
To communicate pro-people schemes of the State Government to all
sections of society.
To publicize the various plans and programmes, the welfare
measures undertaken by the Government for the welfare of the
people.
To inform and create an active interface with the people.

6. My work in the IPRD included:
Uploading the Press Releases from different cities and districts of
the state on the site of IPRD
Review Hindi and English newspapers published in the State.
Arrangement of press conference.
Interaction with the press.
Updating the official site of the chief minister
Uploading the daily schedule of the chief minister on both these
web pages.

7. JAN SAMWAD KENDRA :
Raghubar Das, celebrated his first May Day as Jharkhand chief
minister, and decided to build bridges with people by launching Jan
Samvad Kendra.
The tollfree number 181, with 30 telecallers deputed to note down
complaints from across the state between 9am and 5pm and pass
them on to relevant state officials.
