2. Instructions for Teachers
Below you will find some information and guidance to ensure both you
and your classes have maximum fun completing this quiz!
• The quiz should last approximately 60 minutes from start to finish.
• If you find you are running out of time, it is recommended that you cut
out the bonus round ‘Play Your (Christmas) Cards Right’
• Each round is self explanatory and if you follow the PowerPoint, you
should have no problem running the quiz. Answers are provided after
rounds 2, 4 and 6. Simply get teams to swap sheets for peer marking.
• Round 6 requires the loading of a video link. It is recommended that this
is loaded up prior to the quiz starting to avoid any technical mishaps!
3. Quiz Rules
1. You are to work quietly and productively as a team. Any excessive noise
or poor sportsmanship will result in points being deducted.
2. Bonus marks are available for teams that cooperate and work quietly
3. Marking and scoring will take place at the end of rounds 2, 4 and 6. You
are required to swap your sheets with the team next to you for
marking.
4. Team names should be inventive and linked to the Christmas theme.
There are bonus points available for creative team names.
5. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of round 6. In
the event of a tie, there is a tie break question. For the tie break, each
team will nominate a team member to represent them and go head to
head with the opposing team.

This is an ELIMINATION ROUND. Therefore, you must get ALL the questions right in order to get the crucial 10
bonus points on offer!
You need to nominate 1 team member to play this round. That team member will stand up and play on the team’s
behalf. You may guide your representative but it is ultimately their final decision.
If you think the number is HIGHER then raise your right hand. If you think the answer is LOWER then keep your
hand down.
If you get a question wrong you are ELIMINATED and must SIT DOWN.
