1. What is the name of your children’s
ministry?
eKids
2. Tell about a joy-moment as a children’s
pastor.
I’ve enjoyed serving with the same church family
since 1994 and the opportunity to watch children
grow up, have children of their own, and serve
in the same children’s ministry that they were
once a part of. Longevity has given me the joy to
baptize children of my previous children! 3 John
1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my
children are walking in the truth.”
3. What historical figure would you like to
spend a day with?
I think it would be amazing to spend the day with
George Muller! “I hope in God, I pray on, and
look yet for the answer. They are not converted
yet, but they will be.” - George Muller
4. Who holds you accountable and how do
they do that?
My wife is my greatest partner in every way
including accountability. My friends I serve on
staff with, my parents, and my friends in other
ministries are also accountability partners. They
remind me of the truth, ask hard questions,
challenge me, talk through issues and
situations, encourage, and pray for and
with me.
5. If you could choose to have a skill you
don’t presently have, what would it be?
Ultimate scriptural knowledge and
understanding
6. If you were a superhero, what would
your name be?
Rev. Gadget for sure! “I love technology.” -
Kip from Napoleon Dynamite.
7. What one sentence of blanket advice
would you give parents?
Pray, be intentional, and focus on
your child’s heart not just their
behavior. Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart
with all diligence, for out of it spring the
issues of life.”
8. Favorite soup.
My wife’s zuppa toscana soup is my favorite,
which in my humble but accurate opinion, is
way better than Olive Garden’s attempt.
