A cantilevered balcony slab supports a superimposed load of 2.4 kPa and a uniform dead load of 15 kN/m from an attached wall. The slab is the first span of a continuous beam with 6 total spans of 7000 mm each, constructed of ordinary concrete with a compressive strength of 35 MPa, density of 24 kN/m3, and 20 mm aggregate, and reinforced with steel of 400 MPa yield strength. Calculations show that the maximum factored torsion at axis 2 of the beam is 35.7 kN·m.
