Some tips and practices on getting your tasks accomplished

• Break them down into smaller daily executions
• Keep post it notes and iOS Reminders TO KEEP OBJECTIVES TOP OF CONSCIOUS
• Set time limits for each task – USE alarms WHEN NEEDED
• Use calendars! - planners, ICAL, GOOGLE CALANDER. IF YOU USE MULTIPLE

4. DISTRACTIONS
• keep YOUR PHONE AWAY!
• If you need to use your phone – create 5 min breaks in hour intervals
• Work in spaces that exciting and conducive for work – Maybe a coffee
shop
• Don’t pull an “All nIghter”, it will set you back for the rest of the week
• Recognize if you can be productive next to your peers
• Focus on one task at a time and finish each to completion

5. MOTIVATION
• use CHECKLISTS… BECAUSE NOTHING IS MORE REWARDING THAN CROSSING ITEMS
OFF IT
• incentivize yourself!
• Remind yourself of the consequences you'll face by not completing
your tasks
• Create a study playlist

6. BALANCE
• Check in with yourself, make sure your not taking on too much
• Keep your work, life and rest in balance – and don’t allow for overlap
• Ask yourself if your work motivates you and leads you closer to your
long term goals
• Take 5-10 minutes at the start and end of each day to meditate and clear
your conscious
• Over-planning SOMETIMES LEADS TO INABILITY TO LIVE IN THE MOMMENT
