 I am results oriented History undergraduate in my final year at the University of Exeter 
in the process of applying for an MPhil at the University of Cambridge. 
 Tenacious, ambitious, and driven. Form an early age I have always shown a willingness 
to work hard, displayed entrepreneurial spirit, and demanded the highest levels of 
performance from myself, and by the age of fourteen I was sweeping the floors in the 
workshop of our family run business. 
 My interpersonal skills, ability to work within a group environment, and my enthusiasm 
have led me to pursue a career within the insurance market.

2012-2015 Predicted grade: 1:1 BA honours History 
Key skills gained: 
 Strong analytical skills from working independently, digesting a large volume of 
secondary scholarship and applying this knowledge to create cogent and concise 
arguments. 
 Accomplished communication skills, both written and verbal, developed through 
numerous presentations and essays. 
 Time management skills maintaining a conscientious and hardworking mindset under 
pressure.

me the importance of dedication and nurtured strong leadership skills. 
 Head of Army Combined Cadet Force: sharpened by organisational and problem

 Peer Mentor and 3rd form prefect: highlighted the value of nurturing trust and 
building close, personable relationships. 
 Debating and Public Speaking: has taught me strong communicative skills and the 
ability to convey arguments under pressure.
