What is the connection to the
festival that you selected?
The connection to the festival is that Cricket wireless is a
popular phone service amongst a younger demographic
which is the current target audience.

target audience of the festival
that you selected?
Cricket is a prepaid phone company that offers affordable
rates. With our target audience being younger and making
less and also some being in college a lot of them would
likely use Cricket and a study shown that back in 2018 that
5.57% of Americans 18-29 years used Cricket as a phone
service (Kunst & 21, 2020).
What other events have they
supported locally or nationally?
Cricket had a sponsorship at the 25th anniversary of the
Essence music festival which as an event dedicated to
African American women, culture, and music. They
sponsored an all-day at hosted by music producer Mannie
Fresh at the Cricket House of Blues New Orleans venue
(Cricket Wireless, 2020).

view of the company
negatively?
As of now the most recent news on Cricket is an article
about that was written about the new phones, they have
available which include the iPhone 11 (Zarkov, 2020). This
would have a positive effect on the target audience.

Where do they distribute that
beverage locally?
They distribute all through the metro Atlanta area.
Which specific beverage would
be requested?
The beverage of choice that would be requested for this for
this invent would be Calypso which is a non-alcoholic
lemonade beverage.
What is the connection to the
festival that you selected?
Atlanta beverage is well known throughout Atlanta not
only for its distribution but also for some of the community
work that it has done throughout the city of Atlanta which
would make it hometown favorite for the event (Atlanta
Beverage Company, 2020).
What is the connection to the
target audience of the festival
that you selected?
Atlanta Beverage Company does a lot of volunteer work
throughout Atlanta and some of the surrounding cities
such as Marietta (Atlanta Beverage,2020). Their events
have targeted the residents in those areas of all
demographics which means the target market most likely
would be familiar with the name of Atlanta Beverage
Company.

supported locally or nationally?
On Sunday, April 7th, 2017 the Atlanta beverage Company
had a local 5k run at the Six Flags in Georgia to promote
health and wellness. This brought out residents from the
Atlanta area and all over Georgia to come out and
participate (Atlanta Beverage, 2020).

view of the company
negatively?
As of now the most current news that this company is in
has been a post from their blog posted on March 25th,
2020. This post was related to the Budweiser video
commercial One Team. The exact quote was “Its stuff like
this that makes us stand up a little taller and be proud we
represent one the most powerful brands in the world.” This
will have a positive effect on the target audience because
the video was very inspirational and positive.

105.3 The Beat
If radio: What is the format of
the station? (ie. adult
contemporary, news talk)
The station broadcasts Urban Contemporary format and is
owned by iHeartMedia (Radio Station USA, 2020). This
station is broadcasted on FM.
If radio: Who is the listenership
of the station? (Who listens to
the station?)
The listenership are the ages 18-34 (Nielson, 2020).
What is the connection to the
festival that you selected?
105.3 The Beat is a radio station that plays hip hop and
most likely will have played music from some of the artists
to perform.
What is the connection to the
target audience of the festival
that you selected?
The target audience would not only recognize this station
for its music but also having one of the most listened to
radio talk shows in the black community. The Breakfast
Club radio talk show target audience is 77% African
American or Hispanic (Redford & Franco, 2019).
What other events have they
supported locally?
On August 6, 2020, 105.3 The beat sponsored with the Tru
Foundation to have a grocery giveaway at College Park in
Atlanta (105.3 The Beat).

did you find? Would that news
impact the target audience’s
view of the company
negatively?
The most recent news about 105.3 The Beat was an article
written about them on May 4th, 2020. This article was
explaining the move that the radio station just made from
96.7 to 105.3 FM. This move would allow for a larger
audience for The Breakfast Club (Radio Ink). This would
affect the target audience in a positive way because it
helps to expand the listenership.

The SWAG Shop 365 Edgewood Ave Atlanta, Georgia 30312

What is the connection to the
festival that you selected?
The SWAG Shop is a staple barbershop in Atlanta and was
founded by and owned by one of Atlanta’s very own hip
hop artist Killer Mike (The SWAG Shop).
What is the connection to the
target audience of the festival
that you selected?
The SWAG Shop is a more well-known barbershop
throughout Atlanta not only for their outstanding barbers
but also for their work throughout the Atlanta city. This is a
4. familiar name that a lot of the target audience would
recognize and definitely support.
What other events have they
supported locally?
On July 28th, 2018 The SWAG Shop hosted an event where
they gave out free haircuts for Atlanta students heading
back to school (The Swag Shop).
Are they currently in the news
(local or national)? If so, what
did you find? Would that news
impact the target audience’s
view of the company
negatively?
The most recent news on The SWAG Shop was an article in
the news on CBS46 which is a local news station in the city
of Atlanta. Two men were shot a couple of feet away from
the barbershop and investigators are still looking to what
caused the shooting. This can have a negative effect on the
target audience because they might associate this shooting
with the barbershop, and they might see this event as
dangerous to attend.
