STUDY ABROAD MENTOR - UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN- STEVENS POINT, STEVENS POINT,
WI- SEPTEMBER 2016-PRESENT
I am avidly involved in the campus’ study abroad program, in addition to experiencing the program first
hand, I also am a mentor to any interested students on campus. I help answer any questions a student may
have about studying abroad and specifically I guide them in the right direction. I typically meet with
students for meetings and help ensure that their decision to study abroad is a positive contribution to their
degree from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point.

ACADEMIC AND CAREER SERVICES HONORS INTERN SEPTEMBER 2016 - PRESENT
I am cross-trained in different areas in order to support the staff and the office needs. Duties include
reception- scheduling appointments on Outlook Calendars, answering phones and assisting staff with
projects, posting jobs and events in CareerPoint, our on-line jobs database for career level jobs and
internships and from the U.W. System Consortium.

I provide private instruction to individuals to improve academic understanding, or prepare for exams. In
addition, I review class material with students using textbooks, working through problems, reviewing
worksheets or other assignments.

I take orders and serve patrons food and beverages. I also check with customers to guarantee that they are
enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Each shift I perform cleaning duties.

I locate library materials for patrons, including books, periodicals, government documents, ext. Another
duty that I perform is answering phones, making room reservations, and organize incoming and out
coming library resources. In addition to lending, reserving, and collecting books, periodicals, videotapes,
and other materials at circulation desks and processing materials for inter-library loans.

2. MUSCODA MUNINCIPAL POOL, MUSCODA, WI
LIFEGUARD AND SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR APRIL 2012 - AUGUST 2014
I am trained and certified by the American Red Cross in CPR and Lifeguard/Water Safety to rescue
distressed patrons, using rescue techniques learned in training.I have a strong ability to teach swimming
strokes and skills to participants of all ages. In addition I also am expected to keep records of emergency
medical treatments performed, and other relevant incident information.

CURRENT
I am working towards earning my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a teaching intent. I am expected to
graduate from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in May of 2018. CurrentlyI obtain a solid
cumulative grade point average of 3.72 and was honored to receive the highest honors at University of
Wisconsin- Stevens Points. Additionally, I have also completed a semester abroad in Valladolid, Spain.
My experience abroad enriched my worldly knowledge of not only the Spanish language but also of the
culture of many different parts of the world. I am also an avid member of the University of Wisconsin-
Stevens Points’ Spanish Club, where I attend meetings, practice conversing in Spanish, and create
relationships with other members whom enjoy the language as much as I do.
RIVERDALE HIGH SCHOOL, MUSCODA, WI- SEPTEMBER 2010-MAY 2014
Throughout my high school career, I was a high honors student with outstanding grades. After receiving
my high school diploma, I was awarded with the honor of being placed on the Riverdale Academic Hall
of Fame. Additional academic achievements include Student of the Month, which is awarded to two
students each month whom are nominated by teachers and staff for impeccable academic success and
leadership inside and out of classroom. Throughout high school, I was a three season athlete for each of
the four years. Athletics taught me a lot including but not limited to; success, handwork, perseverance,
accountability, and trust. Other extracurricular activities I was involved in during high school include;
Spanish Club, in which I was the club President, National Honor Society, where I held the office of
Historian, Leo Club, where I learned to lead by example as the Treasurer, FFA, and Art Club.
Additional Skills
With all of my previous and current educational and work experience I have gained many skills including;
becoming an exceptional listener and communicator, I also have learned to be computer-literate performer
with software experience covering many programs. I am a flexible team player who thrives in
environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize. Over the years I have become a goal-driven leader
who sustains a productive environment and confidently motivates others to meet high standards. Lastly, I
consider myself a high achiever with impeccable planning and organizational skills, along with a precise
detail orientation.
