Executive Assistant to the Governor 2003-2004
Director of Gov. Phil Bredesen’s Office of Boards and Commissions that oversaw gubernatorial
appointments to approximately 200 boards and commissions. Responsible for providing the governor
with candidates from across the state for over 2,000 vacancies on boards and commissions as positions
came available from across the state.
Advanced governor’s trips to natural disasters in the state such as tornadoes in Jackson, TN and massive
straight-line wind damage in Memphis, TN. Coordinated efforts with the Tennessee Highway Patrol,
Tennessee Office of Emergency Management, and the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security
when the governor was in the area.

Lead Advance/Traveling Political Director 2002-2003
Coordinated campaign events and travel for Phil Bredesen’s successful2002 gubernatorial bid. In charge
of event set-up, crowd building, protocol, and event production among other managerial duties. Lead
