years advising universities as General Counsel (ANU and
UNSW) and other private and public sector bodies
• Advice on all aspects of HR legal practice:

querralents; formulating internal policies and Enterprise
Agreements
• Experienced discrimination adviser, including
managing student misconduct and disability claims
• Accredited mediator, operating across all Australian
jurisdictions
• Low overhead practice model that facilitates your early
strategic use of services, promoting savings in cost, time
and disruption
• Training of staff in misconduct, discrimination and dispute management techniques
• Diversity of experience outside of universities – acting in cross cultural settings and for
plaintiffs, defendants and insurers –alternative viewpoints strengthen our approach
• Our services include developing institutional policies, industrial agreements, managing
regulators and supporting university governance
• Broader interest in the anatomy of a dispute has led Ken to qualify as a mediator and a
