Keith Joseph Nickerson, a native of Broussard, Louisiana, has published four books that are now available on Amazon.com. The books draw from his experiences growing up in rural Louisiana and include an inspirational cancer survivor story, an exploration of life behind prison walls, a fictional serial killer thriller, and a western that explores interracial relationships in the Old South. Nickerson invites the public to read his books to experience his unique southern writing style influenced by his upbringing in Louisiana.

Newly published author Keith Joseph Nickerson of Lafayette, Louisiana invites the general public
to sample his recent publications. A native of Broussard, Louisiana his writing style displays his
southern rearing. Many of the references and analogies in the books are based on experiences
encountered in his rural upbringing. A graduate of University of Louisiana/Lafayette formerly
University of Southwestern Louisiana, four of his completed literary projects are now available to
his reading audience.
Book One: My Malady – A Survivor’s Story.
It is an inspirational testimonial directed to individuals struggling with cancer and their families.
The author shares his highs and lows while going through the treatment process. God is the answer.
Book Two: Confessions of the Incarcerated.
The book explores the mindsets and lives of the incarcerated. Share their personal experiences,
understand life behind prison walls, and empathize with them as they re-account actions that led
them to their present situations.
Book Three: The Silent Scream Trilogy Part I – Complete Fear
It is a fictional thriller about the rise of terror along the Eastern Seaboard. A serial killer, after
years of dormancy, has resurfaced, and is making up for lost time.
Book Four: A Classic Western – The Winning of Freedom.
The book puts a new spin on an old genre. It is a fictional tale of life and death in the Old South and
the dissolution of that culture. Out of the ruins emerged a new mindset, not of the slave, but the free
Negro. Inter-racial relationships once viewed as taboo are explored, developed, and nurtured.

are meant to give an example of the writer’s unique style. They incorporate many of the ideals
