3. • During Samudra mathana, the Gods and the demons
churned the Ksheerasagara to obtain Amrita.
• Anyhow, even before Amrita evolved, a ferocious
looking person who was magnificent with aura and who
had four fangs, yellowish-brown hair and fiery eyes
emerged called as Visha purusha.
• The world became despaired at his sight and due to this
he was called as Visha.
6. • In the beginning of creation, a proud and arrogant demon
called Kaitabha caused many hindrance in the process of the
creation of Lord Brahma.
• By this, Lord Brahma was extremely angry and this anger
resulted in the production of a very dreadful person who killed
the demon Kaitabha.
• But even after the death of Kaitabha, his anger went on
increasing and created sadness or depression among the Gods.
• Hence he was named as Visha, for creating the feeling of
"Vishada" i.e. depression or sadness in the Gods.
