ALBERTSONS LEADS COMMUNITY IN HELPING LOCAL CAUSE
Boise, Idaho (March 18, 2018) – Albertsons, a national leading food and drug retailer, is asking
people to act now and help feed poverty stricken families. Albertsons is asking their shoppers to
donate to the “Eat and Repeat” Campaign in association with Idaho Food Bank’s “School
Pantry” program. Albertsons recognizes that many families in the Ada County are struggling to
put food on the table. The “Eat and Repeat” campaign is the company’s Idaho branch’s way to
express their humanitarian side, and end hunger issues in the community. The “Eat and Repeat”
campaign is featured in a series of stickers that are placed on any Albertsons product that are
partnered with the cause. If an Albertsons product has the sticker “Eat and Repeat”, the
consumer can know that with the purchase of that product, ten cents will be donated to the
“School Pantry” program to help feed children in need. “The idea of the ‘Eat and Repeat”
stickers is to express to customers their favorite grocery items they consistently enjoy, are often
too much for many poverty stricken families in Idaho to afford,” said Corporate Media Contact,
Sarah Osborne. “However, when the consumer purchases items they frequently appreciate,
they’re helping pay for a family in need to enjoy that same product”.
“Eat and Repeat” will be a year-long campaign, where all the proceeds will go to the “School
Pantry” program. The “School Pantry” program is a project that donates food to local public
schools for students to pick and bring back home to their families. According to the Idaho Food
Bank, 86% of parents stated the School Pantry program kept their family from having to skip a
meal simply because they couldn’t afford it.
Albertsons is excited to help keep kids well nourished by giving a little extra support to families
in need. Albertsons plans to further promote the cause by hosting a relay-race later this spring,
which will fundraise and support “Eat and Repeat”. To be a part of Albertson’s cause to keep
