Objective: To inspire students to focus on writing skills that will enrich their
professional, and personal lives, while exercising my teaching, research, and writing
experience. As an Educator, exceptional communicator, and recent recipient of a
Master’s of Education Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a National Honors
Society recognition, I am firmly grounded in providing any future employer, and my

Professional Experience
5th
grade Teacher Elementary School Teacher Cortez, Co
August 2016-Nov.2016 Montezuma Cortez Schools
Fifth grade school teacher for the Montezuma Cortez School District in Cortez, Colorado.
My primary focus was to increase student comprehension levels and academic
knowledge in English language arts, math, reading, social studies, and science. In fact,
these levels did increase substantially for most of my students in all of these subjects.
My responsibilities included classroom management, lesson planning, reading, grading
papers, following district protocol, and educational trends.
6th
& 7th
grade Teacher English Language Arts
August 2015-June 2016 Dallas Independent School District Dallas, TX
As an English Language Arts teacher for DISD I performed the following duties:
• Participant in weekly Professional Learning Communities.
• Performed as a Professional in an academic environment with organization and
promptness.
• Researched and wrote thought provoking Lesson Plans (with accommodations)
using State Standards, which included some of the following: the use of
technology, cross-curricular topics, Project Based Learning assignments, a
Lesson- Cycle, and assessments.
• My student’s success rates within the department were high, and within the
District above average.

grade Teacher English Language Arts
August 2013- Dec. 2014 Central Consolidated Schools Shiprock, NM
As a 7th
grade ELA teacher these were some of my responsibilities:
• Implemented educational initiatives which worked to improve my 160 student’s
overall progress towards academic success in English Language Art’s and thus a
total school growth from a C grade to a B in the State of New Mexico.
• Designed weekly Lesson Plans specifically designed to build student knowledge
in the content area of English Language Arts.
• Stimulated student interest in subject area through effective presentations which
resulted in a rise in grades and overall comprehension.

• Worked as a Substitute Teacher at the Elementary and Secondary levels for the
Gallup McKinley County Schools.
• Several schools called me regularly because of my reputation as professional,

to a specific market.
