Title: Assistant to the Dean
Originated the external and internal marketing and public relations activities for the OU School of
Community Medicine in Tulsa that includes the physician practice, OU Physician, more than twenty
years ago
Initiate, plan and develop new media stories resulting in a 60 percent increase in media exposure to now
being called once a week by local media as experts since 1993
Engage in social media activities, website design, video ideas, monitoring sites, etc.
Website: Facilitated the beginnings of the website design, monitor updates all the way to recently
furthering new improvements to residency recruitment websites.
Social Media: Developing a social media calendar to include regular Twitter and Facebook posts.
Work with various teams that may include students, community representatives, employees and/or
faculty to create, design and advance communication support materials.
Shaped and pressed for the development of consistent print material that comprises ads, newsletters,
brochures, outdoor, etc. Since 2008 have produced more than 300 brochures and 200 ads for various
publications.
Since 1993, responsible and/or worked with a team to hold a variety of special events including ground
breakings, ribbon cuttings, community-wide seminars, hospital dignitary meetings, professional
conferences, acknowledgment dinners, distinguished committee visits, faculty receptions, endowed chair
receptions, site visits from legislatures and other government officials, etc.
Serve as the OU representative for community-wide endeavors as well as visiting schools, businesses,
and rural providers.
Orchestrated more than 15 internal college-wide employee meetings of which three included complete
roll out of new customer service initiative and introduction of new strategic plans
Facilitated the first ever quantitative and qualitative marketing research project conducted for OU
Physicians
Implemented the first ever newly created branding campaign for OU Physicians
Uphold public affairs policies of the University of Oklahoma within the School of Community Medicine
1992 – 1993 Oklahoma State University
Title: Tulsa Director, University Business Extensions
Facilitated OSU’s University Extension Continuing Education programs in Tulsa. This includes
negotiating contracts, inspecting sites, and opened an OSU Business Extension’s Tulsa office.
Worked with more than 20 industries and businesses to research and determine their professional
training needs for adult employees. Reported information back to college-based extension units then
arranged and organized a number of educational programs.
Completely equipped and organized Tulsa office.
2. Developed a marketing strategy for program promotion. Marketed more than 15 extension programs to
businesses in area.
