Excuses of Plagiarism It’s okay if I don’t get caught!  I was too busy to write that paper! (Job, big game, too much homework!)  My teachers expect too much!  My parents expect me to get A+. Oh! Your thoughts are my thoughts. ( 4 )
Types of Plagiarism Intentional  Copy and pasting texts from electronic sources without documenting Downloading music and movies from internet Buying or borrowing papers Copy sentences from different sources  make it fit together with out changing the original phrasing Cited the source with different information make it hard to find ( 5 )
Types of Plagiarism Unintentional  Citation Confusion -means citing inaccurately, also known as   one of the most common types of unintentional plagiarism. Paraphrasing – changing a few words without changing the sentence structure of the original, or changing the sentence structure but not the words. Word Substitution – just changing the word but keep the original  thought and ideas. ( 5 )
Consequences of Plagiarism Academic Penalty get a zero mark fail the course note on student record suspension or dismissal from school ( 6 )
