A human milk bank is a service established
to recruit breast milk donors, collect donated
milk and then process, screen, store and
distribute the milk to meet infants specific
needs for optimal health.

Involvement
It has been reported that 58% of term mothers experience
problems with breastfeeding, including a perception of
insufficient milk supply, in the first 2 weeks and this is
associated with a lack of confidence in breastfeeding.
In West Bengal only 47.7% had early initiation of
breastfeeding rates the reason behind the poor no are myths
towards breastfeeding practice, and lack of quality
antenatal services.
Early and exclusive breastfeeding can prevent 14%
of neonatal death.
