2. Pure Titanium Chopsticks “Katsuki”
are made using techniques used by
artisans in Japan for making glasses.
From the reasoning that “Chopsticks are
something you put in your mouth, so they have to
be safe,” we considered titanium to have ideal
properties for an eating utensil because it has a
limited impact on the human body, and have been
making chopsticks since 1999.

3. Low risk of metal allergies
Titanium is a safe material with a low risk of
metal allergies used in medical equipment,
glasses, and accessories that gives you peace of
mind.
Titanium binds with oxygen, immediately
forming an oxide film (TiO2) on the surface.
This oxide film has stable anti-corrosive
properties, and since oxygen cannot pass
through it, the oxidation of titanium doesn’t
proceed any further.
Because of this, the metallic ions inside do not
dissolve, and titanium is a metal that doesn’t
usually provoke allergic reactions.
Also, since titanium is prevented from ionizing
by the oxide film on the surface, there is no
metallic smell.
Light and strong
Since pure titanium has only about 56% of the density of stainless steel, the
chopsticks are lightweight. At the same time, they are strong, with a tensile
strength equivalent to iron.
Since the oxide film on the surface doesn’t let oxygen through, titanium
doesn’t rust, so the chopsticks can be used for a long time.
Washable in a dishwasher
These chopsticks have no coating, plating, or
coloration on the surface, so there is no need to
worry about pigments peeling off when drying
or washing in a dishwasher.
Also, since they’re made of metal, they can be
disinfected by boiling, making it easy to use
them cleanly.
Low thermal conductivity
The thermal conductivity of pure titanium is low, about one-quarter that of
iron, or about 23 times less than that of copper, and since the density is also
low, titanium chopsticks don’t draw heat out of your hand, so they don’t tend
to feel cold.
Having a low thermal conductivity also means that even when the tips of the
chopsticks touch something hot, this only makes the tips heat up. The parts
of the chopsticks that you hold don’t get hot.

4. Perfect luster
Polished using mirror polishing technology
developed for glasses manufacturing, these
chopsticks have a perfect luster never seen
before in titanium products.
Beautiful titanium coloring
Titanium coloring from anodizing is created by an interference effect
between light reflected off of the oxide film produced by anodization and
light reflected off of the titanium surface. Certain wavelengths are
strengthened by the interference effect, producing colors. This is the same
phenomenon that makes soap bubbles or oil floating in water appear to have
a rainbow color.
The smoother the titanium surface, the more beautiful and clear the metallic
color becomes.
The color tone also changes subtly depending on the brightness or type of
light used and the viewing angle.

(more than 99.5%) titanium, the strength is
increased, making them durable.
