Ref: Mr. Khan Alam
To Whom It May Concern
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have known Khan Alam since September 2011 when he joined the MSc in Analytics
program of which I am one of the core course coordinators. This is a demanding
program in Manchester Business School with heavy workloads, challenging
assignments and tough assessments. In addition to working on individual
assignments, students have to participate in various group projects, which give them
the chances to learn and practise team working skills, presentation and consultancy
skills, and etc. Khan rose to those challenges with an excellent performance, and
achieved a total overall mark of 69.
In the lecture and lab sessions of my course, Risk, Performance and Decision
Analysis, Khan was very active to raise and answer questions. He also approached to
discuss with me several times and showed a very proactive attitude towards his study
and a strong analytical skill which could be very useful to the PhD project he is
applying for.
On a personal basis, I found that Khan is polite and responsible. He always treats his
peers in a friendly manner. He is fluent in both English speaking and writing.
Based upon his motivation, academic and intellectual capacity, I believe that he has
the potential to become an excellent researcher. Should you require further
information to support his application, please do not hesitate to contact me.
