2. 3 point lighting
• 3 point lighting allows for the character to be clearly
lit
• The key light acts as our main light source for the
character being the closest to them. This however
creates shadow on the other side of the characters
face when lighting a person. To combat this the fill
light is used to soften the shadow so the characters
full face is lit. The back light then adds more depth to
the shot and can also provide a glow for the back of
the character.
3. Bedroom Scene
• For my bedroom setting I will use 3 point
lighting with the warm colour of the lighting
settings to create an evening look to the
bedroom, the warm oranges from the lights
will create a room light look. I will also use
the tv effect settings on a light with the
colder colour setting to simulate the look of
a tv being on in the background of his room
further creating the teenage bedroom
aesthetic.
4. Office Scene
• The setting of the office will simply have
natural lighting, as it will be shot in daytime
the natural lighting will keep the scene well
lit. The natural lighting will also help for
realism within this scene as nothing is lit in
an exaggerated way with no strange
shadows or highlights
5. News Scene
• The news report scene will have studio
type lighting. The news reporter actor
will be well lit with depth from the
background making it easy to possibly
change the background in post-
production to make it seem like an
authentic news channel.
