6. My road to
success in the
music industry
began in high
school, when I
was a student at
Booker T.
Washington High
School in
Atlanta, GA.
7. It was here at Booker T.
Washington High School
that I participated in the
Dallas Austin Foundation,
where I interned for Hush
Management/CTE Music, and
where spent many days
after school as an intern
within the music industry.
8. I spent a lot
of time
doing so
much grunt
work, but I
was
determined
to keep
working.
9. After graduating from Booker T.
Washington High School in May of 2009, I
enrolled at Clark Atlanta University in the
fall of 2009. It was here that I began a
marketing/A&R internship with the
Aphilliates Music Group. I worked hard to
move further down my path in the music
industry, including changing my major
from Business Administration to Classical
Music during the second semester of my
freshman year.
11. I began a small
recording studio
business, recording
artists from inside
the dorm for 10
dollars per hour. I
felt like I was
running a
professional
studio full time...
13. After completing my
first year at Clark
Atlanta, I felt LOST! It
was time for me to
follow my true
calling…MUSIC.
14. I was so set on music, but I
also wanted to complete my
education. I remembered
Full Sail University from my
days in high school. I applied
to Full Sail University so that
I could continue my
education and hone my
musical knowledge.
15. I began my education at Full
Sail University on September
27, 2010. It is here that my
world was opened up to new
ideas and philosophies of
music. It is here that I would
receive my Bachelor’s of
Science in Music Production.
16. Unlike Clark
Atlanta, Full Sail
University
challenged my
beliefs in a way
that made me so
much wiser and
sharper.
17. Being a student at Full After meeting
Sail helped me garner with this

18. As graduation nears, I remember
the hard work and dedication it
took to get to this point in my life.
19. I remember my
dreams of
reaching the
top of the
mountain of
obstacles
that faced me
at different
times in my
past.
20. In Conclusion…
No matter the
obstacle, no
matter the
amount of time,
or the number of
steps to climb,
failure is not an
option.
21. Never forget that choosing to have
the courage to act on a simple idea,
or a small decision to say you won’t
quit can be the difference between
success and mediocrity.
