Brothers in Christ,
I was blessed to be Justin Gaynor's pastor at Lakeview Baptist Church (Delray Beach,
FL) upon his conversion and baptism. Together we spent countless hours in personal
discipleship and in early training as a part of our Yokefellow's Ministry, where he
partnered with older, mature Deacons at our church. He humbly and dutifully served
widows and other needful members of our congregation.
We worked together closely and raised many thousands of dollars for hurricane relief
through our "Bike 4 Relief" campaign. Through all our laboring together for Christ, I
found Justin to be an intelligent, committed, conscientious, and passionate follower of
the Lord Jesus Christ.
While the intimacy of our fellowship lessoned after my departure as his pastor, he has
remained a friend and dear brother to me over the years. The Apostle John once
wrote: ” I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have
received commandment to do from the Father" (2 John 1:4). When I consider the work
of God's grace in Justin's life and see him continuing in passionate pursuit of the
Kingdom of God, I share that same joy St. John experienced.
He is spiritually and intellectually curious, but always bound and submitted to the
unique authority of God's Word. Like the great Reformer, Martin Luther, his
conscience is captive to the Word of God. While I know I cannot take credit for this, I
like to think that God used me in his early discipleship to inspire a love for Scripture
and a right regard for Sola Scriptura.
I have no doubt in either God's grace or Justin's willingness to be used in Kingdom
service. If it be the will of the Lord for you to invite him as a co-laborer in Christ, then I
am confident he will be a valuable asset in your work of service.
If you have other questions for me, please do not hesitant to contact and inquire.
