This document provides an overview of Indonesian literature from 1998 to the present. It discusses several key developments, including the emergence of prominent female authors, the rise of cyber literature due to increased internet usage, and a boom in short story or "cerpen" writing. Specific authors highlighted include Djenar Mahesa Ayu, Ayu Utami, and various cyber literature communities that formed online through sites, mailing lists, and blogs. In summary, the period saw increased representation of women in authorship and the growth of new digital literary spaces, while short fiction remained very popular.

ringan berbagai persoalan penyimpangan seks.
Komunitas-komunitas sastra maya mulai muncul. Memanfaatkan teknologi seperti
kebebasan, tanpa sensor. Semua orang boleh memajang karyanya, dan
semua boleh mengapresiasinya.Penggunaan istilah sastra cyber sendiri
menyatakan jenis medium yang dipakai: medium cyber, persis sama halnya
dengan istilah sastra koran, sastra majalah, sastra buku, sastra
fotokopian/stensilan, sastra radio, sastra dinding, dan sebagainya. Jadi, semua
tulisan sastra yang dipublikasikan melalui medium cyber disebut sastra cyber
Taufiq.ismail.
com, Sobron Aidit yang beralamat di www.lalemement. Com.,
Afrinal Malna, Hamid Jabbar, Saut Sitomurang, dan Pramodya
Ananta Toer dialamat www.geocities.com.
Sedangkan situs-situs berbahasa Inggris yang memuat
sastrawan Indonesia diantaranya ialah www.poetry.com dan
www.everypoetry.com.
seperti penyair@e.groups.com, puisikita@e.groups.com ,
berita aktual, semua disebut cerita.
minggu, ia seperti sebuah keharusan.
cukup
signifikan. Masalahnya, secara substansial sejumlah cerpenis muda yang
muncul
belakangan, harus diakui, belum menunjukkan usahanya mengusung sebuah
gerakan estetik yang kemudian menjadi sebuah mainstream. Arus besar
cerpen
Indonesia pascareformasi masih tetap didominasi nama-nama lama yang
memang
telah menjadi ikon cerpen Indonesia kontemporer. Cerpen Indonesia mutakhir
sebelum terjadi reformasi, seperti Budi Darma, Hamsad Rangkuti, Kuntowijoyo,
Mereka
masih tetap menjadi bagian penting dalam peta cerpen Indonesia
