youletit slide,fall throughthe cracksof your bottomlesspitof excuses. Ihaveso much time. I have
Monday.It’snotdueuntilnext week.Justonedrink.Just onethink.Justone morelink. Andthen time
goesby andyou realize thatat the beautiful age of thirty-five,you’re adecade behindthe BigPicture
because a YouTube/Netflix/HuluPremium/AmazonPrime/OtherIrrelevantActivitymarathon onan
importantTuesdaynightwasmore importantthanthe Big Deal.
Why?
We all have a story. There isa beginning,middle,andanend.Inthat story,we are the hero,the
antagonist,the foil,andthe supportingcharacter.Sometimesoutsideforcescome atus to teardown
everythingthatwe love,loved,andhave builtup fromthe ground.Sometimeswe doittoourselves.
Procrastinationisjust anotherwaywe can do ourselvesin.It’sfairlyeasytolose sightof the BigPicture.
We getlostin the mundanenessof ourlives.We focusonthe small parts,the dailymishapsthatworkto
etchout our listof reasonsto quit,andrealize thatonce upona time,we had#goals.
Procrastinationiswhenyoulose sightof those #goals.Procrastinationiswhenyou bothdoand
don’tfocuson the nownessof the present.It’sthe immediacyof pseudocomfortthatcomeswiththe
ideathat there’salwaysgoingtobe a bettertime todo whatyou needtogetdone.

Procrastinationisthe ideathatyoucan nevercompletethatBigDeal like you wantto. Your
perfectionistideologieswill allowyoutothinkthatif you can’t doit right,youshouldn’tdoitall.

Procrastinationleadsyoutofall intoafreefallingphobiaof failure.You’re afraidyou’llscrewit
up. In reality,thisisthe worstkindof way to think.You’re settingyourself upforfailure.Sure,you’ll find
waysto convince yourself thatyouhave more time andthat bysimplywaitingyoucanwaituntil you’re
trulyreadyto face that demon.Butlet’sbe honest,whenhave thateverbeenthe case?
