2. The Right Choice
By Karen Grace H. Zablan
Max was playing with his toys in the living room. His
mother was in the kitchen cooking their dinner.
Before she left, she reminded him to be careful
while playing. As he was playing with the ball on the
floor, it bounced and hit the vase on the center
table. The vase fell on the floor and got broken. He
felt scared because he knew that his mother would
get mad at him for being careless.
3. When his mother went to the living room, she
saw the broken pieces of the vase on the
floor. She asked Max what had happened. He
said, "I am sorry, Nanay. I got careless while
I was playing, and the ball hit the vase." His
mother hugged him and replied, "It is okay,
Max. What is important is that you told me
what really happened." And with that, Max
helped his mother clean up the mess. He
learned that telling the truth is always
important.

rock. While trying to drink a water, she slipped and fell
into the river.
There was a dove sitting on a branch of a tree who saw
an ant falling into the river. The dove quickly plucked a
leaf and dropped it into the river near the struggling ant.
12. The ant moved towards the leaf and climbed u
p onto it. Soon,
the leaf drifted to dry ground, and the ant jumped out. She
looked up to the tree and thanked the dove. Later, the same
day, a bird catcher nearby was about to shoot the the dove
hoping to catch it. An ant saw h
i
m and guessed what he was
about to do. The dove was resting and he had no idea about
the bird catcher. An ant quickly bit h

m on the foot. Feeling the
pain, the bird catcher dropped his gun and let out a light
scream. The dove noticed it and quickly flew away. The ant and
