Transforming passenger experience
and operational efficiency
When James enters the terminal, he is immediately welcomed by
a customer service agent who smiles at him through virtual reality
glasses. Greeting him by name, she quickly verifies the details of his
flight and reminds him that he needs to complete his customs and
immigration papers.
He is shown to a bank of touchscreen self-check-in kiosks where he
single-handedly checks in and helps himself to an electronic bag tag
before efficiently depositing his hold baggage. Within minutes, he is
ready for security.
Having already downloaded his boarding pass from smartphone to
smartwatch, James effortlessly taps his wrist on a scanner before
entering security.
From security through to the shopping hall, a buzz from James’s
pocket alerts him to check his smartphone. A special offer from
his favourite sporting brand is waiting for him just as he is
approaching the store.
He knows he has the time to continue
browsing the shops because his tablet
has already told him the walking time to
his boarding gate together with a map
showing him the way.
Once comfortably aboard his flight,
James inserts his tablet into the
back-seat pocket in front of him
and browses the latest movie
releases, which he can stream
for free over the airline’s wi-fi
network.
Seamless access to emails
and social media throughout
his journey means that James
never loses touch with his
friends or the needs of his
business.
This is the future of travel.

  • 1. 27th-29th April 2015 | Chelsea Harbour Hotel | London, UK Transforming passenger experience and operational efficiency
  • 2. When James enters the terminal, he is immediately welcomed by a customer service agent who smiles at him through virtual reality glasses. Greeting him by name, she quickly verifies the details of his flight and reminds him that he needs to complete his customs and immigration papers. He is shown to a bank of touchscreen self-check-in kiosks where he single-handedly checks in and helps himself to an electronic bag tag before efficiently depositing his hold baggage. Within minutes, he is ready for security. Having already downloaded his boarding pass from smartphone to smartwatch, James effortlessly taps his wrist on a scanner before entering security. From security through to the shopping hall, a buzz from James’s pocket alerts him to check his smartphone. A special offer from his favourite sporting brand is waiting for him just as he is approaching the store. He knows he has the time to continue browsing the shops because his tablet has already told him the walking time to his boarding gate together with a map showing him the way. Once comfortably aboard his flight, James inserts his tablet into the back-seat pocket in front of him and browses the latest movie releases, which he can stream for free over the airline’s wi-fi network. Seamless access to emails and social media throughout his journey means that James never loses touch with his friends or the needs of his business. This is the future of travel. • 13. How is Connected Aviation different from other events? WORLD-CLASS CONFERENCE The exclusive speaker line-up features more senior-level influential speakers than you would find on comparable agendas. Big brands are combined with niche futurist perspectives from industry disruptors to equip you with the inspiration and information you need to progress. Discussions are tailored to the seniority of the audience following months of research with the market. ELITE INVITATION-ONLY NETWORKING Because attendees are selected and invited based on their seniority and strategic influence, you can be assured of the highest-quality networking opportunities. Unlike a large-scale expo, you will have the opportunity to network with all attendees in an informal, dialogue- driven retreat. PRIVATE ONE-TO-ONE MEETINGS Taking part in frank and open dialogues are a dedicated part of the schedule rather than something that is rushed over a brief coffee break. Access to a private pre-event online hub will ensure that you can pre-arrange meetings that match your business requirements, making best use of your time at the event. NO LARGE-SCALE EXHIBITION Unlike a large-scale exhibition, we are selective about the number of vendors we invite to ensure it remains an industry-first conference that adds value to attendees. Because meetings are pre-arranged based on your requirements, you will be free from solicitation by vendors that aren’t relevant to your needs.
