How to write a paragraph
What is a paragraph?
 A group of sentences that develops a single idea
It has three main parts
 Topic sentence – General idea
 Supporting sentences – Develops the main idea
 Concluding sentences – Summarizes the paragraph
The topic
 It is the general idea of the paragraph
 It answers the question – What is the paragraph about?
Example - Biology – Chemistry-Physics are examples of the topic SCIENCES
