A group of sentences that develops a single idea It has three main parts Topic sentence – General idea Supporting sentences – Develops the main idea Concluding sentences – Summarizes the paragraph The topic It is the general idea of the paragraph It answers the question – What is the paragraph about? First, the air is fresher than the city. The trees and plants keep the pollution down, people can breathe. Second, you can take long walks in the forest and not see anyone for hours. The forest allows you to daydream while you look at the colors of the plants and trees. Third, it is quiet. No noise from cars honking their horns or loud music playing.
