B. BACKGROUND
Recent: 2009 - 2016, Registrar/CEO of a new statutory regulatory body, appointed by the Minister of Health and Long-
Term Care (Ontario). Working with a governing Council appointed by government, responsible for building a new
organization, including developing regulations, standards, policies, administrative systems and staff for a newly
regulated profession in Ontario (psychotherapists). Frequent presenter and spokesperson.
Previous: Project Manager and Consultant in the broader public sector (public policy and communications specialist).
Extensive experience on complex initiatives involving stakeholder engagement, government relations, policy
development and communications. Past projects involved working with boards, committees and expert panels to frame
program/policy options, and develop positions on strategic issues.
