2. The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American coming-of-age
comedy-drama film written, produced, and directed by John
Hughes.
In the opening credits the production company is shown
first which is Universal. The Universal presentation looks
very different as its not the same as the modern one. The
opening then moves on to naming the producer and
director, showing the different names on different slides of
the screen. The principle characters are then named,
presented in the same way.
3. Most of the opening is presented with a black
background with individual names on the screen in
yellow writing. This made the opening look basic
which reflects off the film.
There are no pictures or props in the opening as its
quite plain, this makes the audience focus on the text
which draws them in, making them understand the
characters and the production of the film.
4. The music played in the opening is quite moving and will
attract the audience as they will enjoy it. As the slides change
the beat of the song changes as well between each period. As
there isn't much visual content the music is there to really
draw in the audience, it’s what makes the opening complete.
Unit the last few seconds of the opening, it is completely
plain which doesn't give any of the film away. This will make
the audience want to watch it as they don't know much about
the film apart from the principle characters and the song that
is being played which is also repeated at the end of the film
and is very significant
5. Until the last few seconds of the opening which is a
picture of the front of a school, it is completely plain
which doesn't give any of the film away. This will make
the audience want to watch it as they don't know much
about the film apart from the principle characters and
the song that is being played which is also repeated at
the end of the film and is very significant
