Objective
I am a first year student at Ferrum College with an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Central Virginia
Community College. I am dedicated and motivated student seeking to obtain a job working with the Water
Quality Project in order to not only gain valuable first-hand chemical analysis skills, but also to help the
community and surrounding areas. I am pursuing a B.S. Chemistry with a minor in Forensic Sciences.
Experience
The Lunchbox and Catering 2012-2013
 Cashier, customer service, and food delivery.

Public Library Childrens’ Program Assistant 2008-2012
 Event planning and coordination, activity facilitation.
o I assisted in planning children’s activities at a local publiclibrary, as well as supervising and overseeing the
actual activities.

o I workedat the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center as a staff member and camp counselor teaching

program during my junior and senior years of high school.

I am a very hard-working, dedicated, and scrupulous person. I am an eager and quick learner, and I work well with others. I
take initiative, andgo above and beyondto complete my tasks. I have taken several college level math andscience courses
previously in addition to advanced placement chemistry in high school.
I have workedoutside of class under Dr. Maria Puccio with the Ferrum College ChemistryClub performing experiments for
the “Demo Show” hostedin place of a School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Seminar lecture. Additionally I was the
practicum for a biology lab at Ferrum Collegeunder Dr. Cherie Bond
I have taken and passed a Microsoft Office course at Central Virginia Community College, andI am proficient in Word, Excel,
Access, and PowerPoint.
