About Me
Having worked at Decker Creative Marketing for the last 19 years my experience and
roles grew from Art Director to Senior Art Director, and finally, to Creative Director.As
a Creative Director, I shared responsibilities with the Executive Creative Director and
managed a team of Art Directors.Through my years at Decker, I was able to grow and
do what I really love, work with a team to concept and create solutions for a variety of
clients, making killer creative that worked well across all platforms. I had the opportunity
to work on many different projects including; Broadcast, Print, Out of home, Branding
Campaigns, New Product Launches, Brand Identity Development, Event Marketing, Sales
Support & POS Materials, Social Media Marketing,Web Design & Online Advertising and
E-Mail Marketing. It’s very interesting work to thoroughly understand the client, what
they stand for, what their objectives are and who their target audience is while managing
time and budget. No matter what the situation, it’s all about delivering creative that is
powerful, stands out and exceeds your clients expectations.This continues to be a fun
and unique challenge for me.
Work Experience
Decker Creative Marketing
Creative Director, Design and Graphics | 2014 – 2015
Worked closely with the account team and executive creative director to develop
creative market effective strategies and executions for clients such as: ConnectiCare,
Farmington Bank, Green Earth Energy and The Public Register. Collaborated and lead a
team of designers and freelancers on creative design solutions.
Senior Art Director | 2000 – 2014
Designed results-proven creative for clients such as:Wyndham Worldwide, Days Inn,
ConnectiCare, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates,The Famous Grouse, Stewart’s Beverages,
UConn and The Balvenie. Lead art director for Days Inn and Gertrude Hawk Chocolates.
Consulted with branding agency on total re-branding for Days Inn. Crafted new Days Inn
identity communications program to gain favorable acceptance among 1,800 franchisees.
Designed and directed the production of conference booths, co-directed national brand TV
commercials from concept through post production. Designed print, digital and collateral.
Art Director | 1996 – 2000
Key player on creative team, conceived and produced compelling design solutions for
clients such as: SNET, Cigna and Heublein. Managed photo shoots, created illustrations
and graphics. Supervised cost-efficient production.
