2. Superior Ostrich
Shawn Davis became the chief operating officer of Superior Ostrich in
2015, charged with the responsibility of leading the Company to market.
Utilizing more than twenty-five years of experience in the food industry,
he is championing the revolution to lead consumers toward healthier
choices for dairy and meat products.
Shawn was actively recruited by Superior Ostrich, the largest ostrich ranch
in North America, due to his impressive record of success in both
wholesale and retail operations. In his first year at the helm, he has already
created three specialty divisions to service the food, fashion, and
cosmetic/craft markets. This approach not only increases revenues, but
achieves Superior’s goal for sustainable farming.
Thanks to Shawn’s relentless efforts, ostrich will soon be as commonplace
as its closest competitors. In the coming months, Americans will likely
begin to see the delicious, protein rich, red meat of the ostrich, as well as
their behemoth eggs, in local grocery stores. They will also experience the
benefits of nutrient-rich ostrich oil in their skin and hair care products, find
more usage of ostrich leather and feathers in fashion, and see unique uses
of ostrich products in crafting.

3. As CEO of Epica International, Inc., Greg Stoutenburgh is
pushing the limits of medical imaging by combining science
and technology to build ground-breaking devices for the
veterinary market.
Under Greg’s direction, Epica has captured worldwide attention
from veterinarians with the introduction of the Pegaso, one of
the largest CT scanners in the world, capable of
accommodating a standing horse. Epica’s other flagship CT
scanner, the small animal Vimago, is gaining fast traction in the
industry as a go-to device capable of superior imaging
combined with an affordable price.
Since its inception in 2013, Greg Stoutenburgh has driven Epica
International to over $20 million in sales, with plans to expand
into the industrial and commercial robot sectors in 2016.

4. Nick Rubio started his tech company, Fatsack Outdoors,
in 2014. His first endeavor as CEO was to develop a
mobile application specifically for anglers. Angling, the
sport of fishing for bass, is a huge industry reported to
generate over forty billion dollars in the U.S. alone.
An angler himself, Nick grew tired of the complex
manual tasks involved with the sport and knew what
the market needed was a fully automated way to log
catches, track supplies and equipment, check weather
forecasts, and map fishing expeditions. While the app
was in development, he began adding other essential
features such as a store, a social media component, and
streaming videos. The app took off and by 2015, had
acquired over 10,000 downloads, many of which were
pro anglers.
Complemented by Nick’s relentless promotion and
networking, Fatsack is now one of the most widely used
and recognized apps within its market.
Looking forward, Nick is considering many
opportunities including licensing the app for use by big
name brands and developing similar apps for other
outdoor sports.

5. AndraTomsa and her Spare app are making waves in the fintech industry. By combining
ease of use and our human nature to help others, Spare aims to redefine the mobile
donation space while simultaneously helping those who need it most.
The Spare app identifies food and beverage purchases made on a user’s registered debit or
credit card and rounds them up to the nearest dollar. The spare change is automatically
donated to charities that focus on the hunger crisis in NewYork City. Since the app's
launch in September, Spare has provided more than 8,000 meals to hungry NewYorkers
and has set a goal to close the hunger gap entirely.
Andra, whose background is in economic development, plans to take her crusade to other
cities and has recently formed an elite national advisory board of socially conscious,
successful individuals looking to advocate for Spare in their immediate networks. She has
also formed relationships with several large, non-profit organizations and foreign
government entities, who have expressed interest in white-labeling the technology for
their own fundraising efforts.
Possibilities seem almost limitless for both Spare and Andra in 2016. One thing is for sure;
you will see more of Andra. She is already booked for a dozen appearances at
entrepreneurial conferences, education forums, and television broadcasts and will
undoubtedly be a major influence in the non-profit sector.

6. For more than twenty years, Joely Leidner has been finding, recruiting,
and placing the most talented, job-seeking professionals in the New
York City area. In 2015, she started VLPlus LLC., aiming to leverage her
skills and networks in a CEO role by utilizing separate sales teams and
back offices.
Joely focuses on screening applicants thoroughly, so that only the most
qualified are sent to her clients for consideration. As a result of this
tenacity, VLPlus has acquired a list of clients that reads like a Fortune
500 list and placed hundreds of healthcare, finance, and business
professionals in both short-term and long-term positions.
In January of 2016, Joely directed the expansion of VLPlus operations,
opening a second office in Long Island and hiring additional staff to
accommodate the increasing influx of new business.
Despite the considerable volume of clients and candidates, Joely
maintains an active role in the recruitment process; making time to
meet and evaluate candidates each day and devotedly exploring other
job markets for new growth.
