Miguel is an experienced accountant with 20 plus years’ in diverse multinational and domestic corporations

industrial and service environments as well as building a warehouse control system “from scratch” to
accommodate the needs of the business. Miguel successfully lead the accounting department fulfilling the
management needs with very limited resources during a company downsizing stage while dealing at the same
time with financial and tax audits.
PROFFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Campus Property Management – General Accountant and sister company
Refinery (Gym & Banquet Center) – Comptroller 2000 to Present
Campus Property Management -
Responsibilities included supervision of bookkeeping staff, audit of accounts receivable from tenants, warehouse
management (Inventory Control and Billing). Miguel was also responsible for providing the daily cash position of
the company’s and subsidiaries’ multiple bank accounts, calculating and reporting the sales tax of the commercial
subsidiary (CPM Hardware, Inc.); preparing the trial balances and schedules of the subsidiaries for the corporate
tax preparers; as well as being the company liaison with the Attorney in tenant legal affairs.
Refinery -
Responsibilities included preparation of monthly financial statement, accounts payable and receivable, POS controls,
Inventory and Asset controls. Miguel was also responsible for all treasury duties, including calculating and reporting the
company’s sales tax, as well as processing payroll, keeping records of the employees’ vacation and sick time, as well as
human resource duties, such as health insurance and 401 K benefits. Keeping records and statistics of the company’s
performance for the owners was a particularly important duty.
Panamericana Television – Accountant(Peru) 1994 to 2000
Miguel supervised a group of employees in performing accounting and treasury duties, as well as dealing with yearly
financial audits, as well as those performed by the tax authorities; reporting directly to the General Manager. Duties
included, among others preparing monthly and annual financial statements, consolidated financial statements for the
Pantel Group, and Cash Flow forecast statements for the General Manager. Miguel took part in several due diligence
including the one performed for the issuance of company bonds; as well as the accounting of a Merger in close
collaboration with the external auditors, Price Waterhouse.
Amaru Graphic Industry – Comptroller(Peru) 1991 to 1994
Without doubt, the biggest accomplishment was creating a sophisticated job costing system to calculate the cost of the
products manufactured by the company, whose main product was the label for the beer bottle manufactured by the
Backus Corporation, one of the biggest in South America, and of which the company was part of.
Among other duties, was the preparation of the company’s annual budget and its quarterly revisions, logistic,
accounting, and human resource supervision. Miguel was one of the few elected by the Backus Corporation to receive
further training in the Total Quality Control Process (Holos Consultants of Venezuela) engaged, obtaining the title of
Facilitator.
2. Societe Generale de Surveillance ( Peru) – SeniorAccountant 1987 to 1991
Miguel’s first task was to design an Asset Control System to provide efficient internal controls in the context of the
company’s need to rapidly acquire and implement all the infrastructure required to perform the supervision contract
subscribed with the Peruvian Government, including building and implementing a sophisticated analysis laboratory.
Designing a warehouse control system “from scratch” was another task successfully performed before creating a very
complex job costing system for laboratory analysis.
