4. There is another definition to the racism
• Racism is where someone treats another person
differently because their skin colour is not the same as
theirs, they speak a different language or have
different religious beliefs, Human beings have adopted
it in the application of their racism, such as language,
customs, beliefs, cultures, and social classes, through
which the power and control of the rich over the
impoverished poor class, and racism has other terms
that share with it in meaning and significance such as
ethnicity and race.
Meaning of that: Racism is when people look at others
who are different from them as if they are people of
lesser level than them. Racism is similar to the
discrimination that separates people, whether they differ
in religion, social class, political opinions, etc.

• Political racism: it is the rejection of any point of view
that contradicts the general policy applied in the state,
such as if you objected to a wrong policy of the Military
Council immediately and accused of wanting to destroy
your country's army (There is no freedom of expression)
• Institutional racism : is reflected in disparities in relation
to wealth, income, criminal justice, employment,
housing, health care, political power, and education
• Racism can also cause disrespect for people even if they
are prominent personalities in the workplace , such as
the lack of a place designated for employees of a
different nationality

• Injustice or inequities : Because of their different ethnicities they're
subjected to inequities in terms of jobs , which is chance of getting jobs
only available for certain peoples or there is no promotion at work
place for all people , also admission to universities in some countries
from a legal standpoint
• If a person commits a mistake towards another person , but the guilty
person is from our nationality and religion we will not apply the law to
him . But if the guilty one is from another nationality or religion, the
harshest penalties will be applied to him .. this is also a form of racism .
• Racism against foreigners : Many campaigns against foreigners are
active on social media and demanding their expulsion from Saudi
Arabia as a threat to national security, holding them responsible for the
widespread unemployment in the country and accusing them of
distorting the country's image

• It can also have a more complex form, such as: "hidden racism" which appears
without feeling when people say that they adhere to the values of tolerance and
equality, but without feeling, they behave in a racist manner towards some
individuals or groups.
• And there is racism or discrimination against groups, whether religious, political,
cultural or sports groups, or those who have disease such as +HIV , And there is
racism against each other regarding nationalities such as that one community
hates another societies
for examplean eastern and western society, a Muslim community, a Jewish
community, a Christian community, and a society with unrecognized religions

SAUDI
*Saudi Arabia deals with racial in two ways: By
fostering pride in the homeland regardless of ethnic
origin — and through the force of the law.
*The Saudi Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has
recommended the enactment of a law criminalizing
racial discrimination to promote a culture of
tolerance, respect for human rights and preserving
national cohesion.
*The SHRC stressed that the Islamic Shariah obliged
justice and equality in rights and duties.

*the issue of racial discrimination the necessary consideration through
the enactment of many regulations, where article 8 of the Basic Law of
Governance stipulates that “Governance in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia shall be based on justice, shura (consultation), and equality in
accordance with the Islamic Shariah.”
*The SHRC stressed that the enactment of such a law would culminate
in measures taken to combat racial discrimination.
“People must feel that they belong to one homeland, equal in rights and
duties.”
12. RACISM VISION IN
SAUDI
*The most prominent of the laws, legislations and measures applied by the
Kingdom to combat racial discrimination and promote a culture of
tolerance, respect for human rights and the preservation of national
cohesion, as Islamic law requires justice and equality in rights and duties,
forbids racial Discrimination in all its forms and confines it to legal texts
prohibiting it, as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him
peace, said about racism. Let it be stubborn.
*”Article (26) of the Basic Law of Governance stipulates that“ the state shall
protect human rights in accordance with Islamic law, ”
*Royal Decree No. D/12 (19 August 1997) approves the accession of the
Kingdom to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of
Racial Discrimination (CERD) and the implementation of those of its
provisions which do not conflict with Islamic sharia law, in affirmation of the
constitutional principle that Islamic sharia enjoins justice and equality and
forbids discrimination and iniquity. The laws of the State, including treaties
that have become part of statutory law by virtue of the accession of the
Kingdom thereto

EDUCATOR AGAINST
RACISM
We talked before about how dangerous is the racism
on the communities and how a big problem it is and
starting from the saying “We will fight against racism
and discrimination by teaching respect and
tolerance, by sharing the common history of all
humanity.
We as a health educators (must be the point of
change) by rising community knowledge about
racism and teach people that regardless of their
financial status, religion or ethnicity they all equal
and help people who suffer from discrimination to
raise their self-esteem.
15. OUR RULES AS A HEALTH
EDUCATOR AGAINST RACISM
1- So our job should start from the minute of birth in
some hospitals in US and other countries they
separate between black and whit babies in the nursery
room so we as a health educator should the medical
staff about racism and put a policy prohibiting all
kinds of discrimination.
2- kindergarten so we can teach children from a
young age that there is no difference between them
by:-
- Telling them a stories racism and how bad it is.
- The kids classes should be blended from all ethnicity
with no discrimination between black or white.

3- We should educate the families too because the child
learn their attitudes from their parents so in the national
day of eliminating racism we can:-
- Send awareness massages about racism.
- Activates mall campaigns for all segments of society.
4- The health educator in the school should paying
attention and concentrate their effort on the racism subject
and prevent it and try to solve the students problems who
suffer from racism either from students or teachers.
