1. A Hero’s Quest is wHAt we Need of our Lives
We all are normal human beings and those who are celebrated as political leaders or spiritual leaders
are no exception as well. Unfortunately, most of us do not even know what they are capable of and that
is why we normally fail to achieve what we actually have the ability of achieving. One may be a very
normal person in the outlook but the inner being of every person is special and as long as we are unable
to find and locate that inner being we remain searching for ourselves. It is not that we can never be
successful in our lives without knowing that inner being.
In fact our success and failure depends mainly on what targets
we set for ourselves in life. For a person living in a jungle only
surviving a day is a success and the next target would most
probably be surviving another day. In a day-to-day sort of living
that is just perfect. But the real quest begins when he realizes
what he is capable of and finally decides to do something that
remained unsought for ages. That tis when he decides to make
himself a page of the woods collected by him for heating his
cave and then finding a stone through the help of which he is
able to write on those pages. That is when he starts forming
images. That is when he starts making alphabets out of those
images. Actually that is when the hero quest begins.
It is tragic how most of us remain unable to find out what we actually are capable of and what we
actually are made to do. As said earlies, every human being is special and if that is to be admitted then
we must accept that the amount of creativity left in the world is far behing the population of this world.
This is sad to note of course that only a select few of us excel in our fields of life while most remain just
ordinary workers who lead a day-to-day life. It is a life of wilderness. It is a life of the same caveman who
did not know how to form a paper of the wood and how to make an image on the wall, who did not
know how alphabets are made and how we can communicate to each other. Most of us are living in that
very era of our lives and only quest of our inner self and knowledge of our inner self can help us be what
we actually are gifted with by the nature.
