Conducted inspections at NRC licensed and formerly licensed facilities of
decommissioning and remediation activities. Performed Final Status Surveys of sites in
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Received Special Act Awards for
decommissioning work at Connecticut Yankee's Haddam Neck Plant. My position
required coordination with NRC Headquarters, ORISE, legal counsel, and State
government officials when determining status of sites relative to NRC Decommissioning
Guidelines for release for unrestricted use. Knowledgeable with Marrssm and NUREG
5849 decommissioning requirements. I was the Project Manager for the Yankee Rowe
Nuclear Power Plant and the Lead Decommissioning Inspector for the Haddam Neck
Nuclear Power Plant. Lead a team of inspectors and NRC headquarters personnel to
evaluate licensee's readiness to move spent reactor fuel and authorize use of ISFSI.
Conducted security inspections at decommissioning plants following 9/11.

radiological effluents, radioactive waste disposal, personnel radiation exposure records,
meteorological tower maintenance, and environmental monitoring. Responsible for
program improvements and assessments to elevate performance at the stations.

1994 RADIATION PROTECTIONENGINEER (RPM)
Radiation Protection Manager for a 2 unit PWR facility supervising 12 management
employees and 50 technicians. Interfaced with onsite organizations (Corporate Health
Physics Services, Medical, Security, Licensing, Human Resources, etc.) and offsite
agencies (INPO, NRC, Agreement States, etc.).Member of the Emergency Response
Team.
In my six years at Salem, I stabilized the Radiation Protection Program and projected a
positive image to the NRC and INPO. I managed the department to both capital and
O&M budgets, promoted and hired quality people into the organization, and placed
Salem radiation protection department performance indicators in the INPO best quartile.
1987 to Public Service Electric and Gas Company, Hope Creek Generating Station
1988 SENIOR SUPERVISOR- RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL CONTROL
Supervised two first line supervisors and eight technicians during routine operations
having oversight of the BWR plant gaseous effluents, radioactive waste and
transportation programs, instrument and respiratory protection programs, department
budgetary process, decontamination facility, and source control. During the first
refueling outage at Hope Creek, I directed all radiation protection personnel for one of
three shifts. I was the Radiological Assessment Coordinator (RAC) for numerous
Emergency Drills.
1984 to Southern California Edison Company, Rosemead, California
1987 CORPORATE HEALTH PHYSICIST
Prepared NRC exemption requests for disposal of low-level radioactive environmental
debris and use of an Iodine protection factor with respirators. Assisted in the
preparation of the Annual Operating Environmental Monitoring Report. Involved with
low-level radwaste issues including onsite storage facility and state compact bills.
Conducted ALARA design review classes for company engineers and subcontractors.
My position involved providing technical and supervisory assistance to the San Onofre
Nuclear Generating Station radiation protection program. I reviewed health physics and
radioactive waste management activities. I was a member of the Liquid Effluent
Reduction Task Force. I evaluated the impact of the Probability of Causation tables on
site exposure limits.
