2. Hi there ,
Welcome to the June edition of the Tactical Division Newsletter!
In the past month the business has been busy delivering in the field and getting ready for the World Cup in store - as well as the summer ahead (not to mention dressing up as Pirates for Charity – raising funds for Groceryaid).
We have also been busy winning tactical and syndicated work for the year ahead which include Incomm & GSK to name just two. To deliver we have been making some changes at head office, check out our exciting announcements page for the new additions to our team!
Thank you to all who have met the deadline on using the TRF APP 100% , this is the start of effective winning for our Clients, more efficient time in call for You and the Business.
We are thrilled that everyone in the field are embracing the Performance Management Framework (PMF), this has started to deliver “Diamond” performers already . Check them out inside!
Our Operations Director, Andrea Georgiou, donned her flat shoes this month and spent quality time in the field gaining great tips from the field and giving super feedback on operating while in store! Check out her report inside!

Becky Hickling joins the Tactical Team as Client Services Executive . She has worked at CPM for over 2 years now, starting in the International Team for HP and more recently working on the P&G contract team.
Anna Kubran has worked for CPM for 2.5 years and has just moved onto the Syndicated Team from the ASDA Sampling Team. She is currently on the GOO intake for 2013. Previous to CPM, she worked for ASDA, Jamie Oliver, Koodos and WWAV Rapp Collins.
The tactical division is really excited to announce that Rachel Simmonds is joining the Team on June 3rd as the Tactical Division Client Service Team Manager. Rachel will be using her experience from new business and previous Tactical role to drive client satisfaction for all Tactical Division activities.
Charlotte Barrett has joined team as Field Activation Exec. She is a great asset to the team and brings with her the previous experience and knowledge of Tactical as well as her reporting expertise and excellent client skills and results focus.
Experienced CSM, Danielle Wosahlo, has joined the tactical Division as the CSM on GSK and will also be supporting the Incomm Team in the exciting new transition to a fixed team from July 1st.

Tactical team take on Lake Windermere for charity!
As you may know Josh, Jonny, Drew, Kate and Ed (ASDA sampling) and me rowed across Lake Windermere on Saturday May 17th – supposedly 11km course, which we reckon we probably were more likely to have nearly doubles due to the wind and our lack of steering! As you’re probably already aware a group of 6 brave volunteers took part in the Grocery Aid annual row across Lake Windermere this weekend and despite this being our first year came a very respectable 10th (out of 15), completing the 11km course in 2hrs 42 mins!! Although the weather was lovely (especially for us spectators!), the conditions weren’t exactly plain sailing with some strong currents and a pesky speedboat which caused any boats in its wake problems. However, despite a somewhat shaky start, once our pirates found their rhythm (helped along by some monumental coxing from Ms Ryan!) they were able to pick up the pace and breezed round the course, passing the likes of Mars and Sainsbury’s along the way. So a huge well done to Ed Steele, Drew Gilbert, Jonny White, Josh Ferguson, Juliet Monks, and Kate Ryan for taking part and being such good sports.

As part of the CPM boards’ ongoing commitment to our clients and to be involved in every part of the business Andrea Georgiou (CPM’s Client Operations Director) spent a day in the field with Pam Williams and Jim Bryan and came back with some fantastic feedback and tips to help make us #CPMFamousForSales!
8. What is PMF – Performance Management Framework?
•PMF is a quality assessment tool for the field team.
•The framework is measured across 10 functional competencies.
•The profiling will identify our diamonds, and give focus to training and support where our team needs it.
•The scoring is focussed on scheduling and planning calls, being prepared and having the rights tools, accurate reporting, quality photos, using the app, providing timely reporting every day, OTIFNE with all feedback, meeting deadlines, giving insight and being professional, being accountable for the budget.
•Scoring will be held for each person on an internal system so that is it is recorded and transparent across teams.
•The vision is to have a team of sparkling diamonds (Profile 1’s score 10) which deliver expertise across our portfolio of clients and roles. Latest Update

•We have 3 diamonds on the team to date – Average team score is 13.4.

The UK Chocolate Management Team has now seen real evidence of some of the financial returns we are making on our investment with the syndicated Teams and they are really pleased with such a strong start!
We care about what you think so please feed back to us what you feel is and isn’t working. Also be sure we do read your ‘additional insights’ when you feed them in, they are really useful so please keep them coming, in as much detail as possible
Looking forward, in true Mars style, we will still be seeking to improve things even further. You will be seeing some small changes to in store focus coming your way. In the meantime Claire and I are trying to ensure the briefs are clear and straightforward whilst meeting what can sometimes be quite complex requests from our Business!
The information flow from the Major Accounts, along with their ability to ensure stock is in store when it needs to be continues to be a challenge, but we are not giving up on facing into this! We are also challenging internally for more prefilled units, so less for you to build in store, although this could take a little time.
Please continue to capitalise on your strength of relationships and get those displays away allowing more consumers to see, buy and eat Mars Chocolate more often

Helen has increased facings in Front of Store Chillers from 5 on Monday, 15 on Tuesday, to 20 on Thursday, reducing the facings of Coca Cola. The Lucozade and Ribena products are blocked together for maximum impact. She found 12 end of till displays on arrival on day one, but has been able to keep these in situ by constantly topping up the displays and encouraging the store to order. She also gained two additional shelves on the power aisle for Lucozade four packs.

Natalie certainly made an impression during her regular visits to Tesco in Scunthorpe. She maintained the LRS chiller each day. She ensured that the full LRD product range was available. Natalie placed orders three times during the week to keep stock coming in for this (apparently sales are doing well).

Laura McShane on visiting Tesco Shettleston she discovered a huge amount of stock so she approached the store manager and suggested that she would be doing his sales a huge favour if she was allowed to put it on the shop floor, he said go ahead and boy did she, siting 3 displays then went to find him to show him what she had done he was delighted and said that for someone so small she was powerful and influential!
