16. Hip means to know, it's a form of intelligence.
To be hip is to be update and relevant.
17. Hip means to know, it's a form of intelligence.
To be hip is to be update and relevant.
Hop is a form of movement.
18. Hip means to know, it's a form of intelligence.
To be hip is to be update and relevant.
Hop is a form of movement.
You can't just observe a hop, you gotta hop up and do it.
19. Hip means to know, it's a form of intelligence.
To be hip is to be update and relevant.
Hop is a form of movement.
You can't just observe a hop, you gotta hop up and do it.
Hip and hop is more than music.
20. Hip means to know, it's a form of intelligence.
To be hip is to be update and relevant.
Hop is a form of movement.
You can't just observe a hop, you gotta hop up and do it.
Hip and hop is more than music.
Hip is the knowledge, hop is the movement.

Hop is a form of movement.

To be hip is to be update and relevant.
Hop is a form of movement.
You can't just observe a hop, you gotta hop up and do it.
Hip and hop is more than music.
Hip is the knowledge, hop is the movement.
Hip and Hop is intelligent movement.
Or relevant movement.

Editor's Notes
One of early hip-hop’s most skilled DJs, Grandmaster Flash is universally acknowledged as the inventor of the scratch.
Who’s in attendance? Developers, Product Owners, Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, QA Testers, Executives. Lemme see your b-boy stance.
Agile transformations at a large company.
The resistance to agile transformations sometimes feels like the war between 2Pac & Biggie.
“We tried it, but Agile won’t work in our company.”
What’s the real reason behind “The Struggle?” Is it a question about the failure of Agile, or the failure, and unwillingness to change?
Some say synonymous with Hip Hop, but it’s more than a genre, it’s a lifestyle. Even the work “rap” has idden meaning.
When it clicked for me: listening to the song “Hip Hop Lives” by KRS-One.
The realization that Hip Hop captured the spirit of agility.
KRS-One is famous for his quote…
Hip hop icons, The Beastie Boys: the epitome of change, and adaptability.
The Beastie Boys started off as hardcore punk band, The Young Aborigines. After hearing Bad Brains.
In 1982, released the EP “Pollywog Stew.”
After hearing Sugar Hill Gang, obsessed over rap. “Fight for your right to paaaaaarty!”
In 1986, released their debut album, “License to Ill.”
The Beasties then went back to their roots, while still paying homage to hip hop.
In 1992, they released “Check Your Head.” Spin Magazine ranked it #4 on their list of the 20 best albums of that year.
The 1s and 2s.
St. Louis rapper, Bates with her weapon of words: the microphone.
Crews who did it well: Run DMC, Public Enemy & Salt ‘N Pepa
The dreaded “cliff hanger.”
Our jobs as agile practicioners…
Roland TR-808. 1980-1983. Under $100. Re-issued as the TR-08 in August of 2017. Hip hop equivalent of the Fender Stratocaster guitar. eBay $4600.
What happens when we think of Scrum musically?
Music is measured in small pockets of time called “measures.” 4-4 time, or Common Time.
Audience participation.
Sprint planning.
Cross-functional teams.
Public Enemy: Flavor Flav, Chuck D, Terminator X, and an assortment of Hard Truth Soldiers.
Leaders of the New School (LONS): Charlie Brown, Dinco D, Cut Monitor Milo, and Busta Rhymes. The story of teamwork, failure and adapting to conflict.
Should be more about “T-Shaped people.” Broad knowledge, deep understanding in one area.
Ron Eringa, Professional Scrum trainer for Scrum.org.
An often forgotten about aspect is QA.
What happens in waterfall? Testers get bombarded near the end of a sprint, which necessitates the “need” for a QA sprint.
What’s the word “developer” mean in Scrum?
Expect to pay upwards of $350 to score front row seats at a Jay-Z concert.
It’s all about a sustainable pace.
Calculating velocity. When I asked how to determine a baseline.
How do I come up with a baseline velocity?
Drop the decimal? Or round up? Double/Triple Velocity.
