Responsible for identifying various types of mosquito larvae to determine which sub-species of mosquito was
capable of carrying and transmitting West Nile, this was done by studying the mosquito’s anatomic composition
through a dissection microscope and segregating them using anatomical illustrations.

Research associated with the cranial development of opossums. Tasks included segregating the infant opossums
by age and dissecting them to be scanned for bone migration throughout their different life stages. This was
done by skinning the opossums with surgical instruments, eliminating tissue by utilizing carnivorous beetles, and
viewing the opossum’s cranial architecture through florescent spectroscopy.
