- Tasks can be large or small. Time can be bought in blocks, to be used for tasks sent through in a set period of time, send me tasks as you need them, or save them up and send them in bulk. Minimum of one hour NEXT SLIDE: How do I then use a Virtual Assistant?
- Identify what tasks you need doing; Be specific about what the task is and provide examples if necessary; Advise when you need the tasks done by; Be clear on whether there is a budget; Delegate away! - Also, Because I have professional indemnity insurance in place which will protect you if I am negligent, infringe your intellectual property, lose your documents or data, am dishonest, commit defamation of character, breach your confidence amongst other things. Not all VAs have this business insurance. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and confirm I comply with requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 in regards to handling of your clients personal data. - Do you email people or call people who are not based in your office? Then you’re already working virtually. NEXT SLIDE: I’m scared to let go of the reins
- It is going to be scary at first. You have worked hard to build up your business and you may have done it all on your own, and you’re used to doing everything. BUT if you don’t let go of the reins, you are in for a bumpy ride. Whether you started your business to be able to spend more time with your family, or whether it was to reach a certain level of income unless you either take on staff or delegate the work, you’ll stagnate.
