THE CHALLENGE
The A1 Coal Houseto Metro Centre Improvement siteteam
accepted a challengeto complete an endurance assault
courseon behalf of Swalwell Primary school based in
Gateshead Tyne & Wear.Swalwell Primary School is a
fantastic school within thecommunity that facilitates
children with special needs from mental to physical needs.
After deliveringa Health & Safety talk highlightingthe
dangers of our works, we identified the teachers who work
in the school had other challenges other than the everyday
duties of a teachers. Aa a team we felt we could contribute
to equipment and transportneeded by a fundraisingevent.
THE ASSAULTCOURSE
After a two milerun 18 participants had to scaleand crawls
through muddy freezing conditions.A great day was had by
all,where we were all physically pushed to our limits.
