and from their medical appointments. Road Supervisor. Scheduling. QA/QC of vehicles
and equipment. Train incoming personnel.
2007-2012 Sun Cruz Casino Cruises (2 years)/Allied Barton Security Services (3years)/Victory
Casino Cruises (1 year): Maritime Security positions in and around Port Canaveral,
Florida. Vetting of passengers, crew and visitors of both vessels and facilities. Security
Site Supervisor for maritime power plant, conducting interviews and hiring/termination
of personnel, writing Standard Operating Procedures, Post Orders and Policies and
Procedures for facility. Supervise training of security and EMS personnel on board ship,
scheduling; employee reviews and evaluations. QA/QC of medical equipment.
2002-2004 Southeast Tissue Alliance (SETA): Tissue Recovery Technician; Recovery Manager of the
East Coast Region. Recovery of human bones, organs and tissue for transplant and
research purposes, per regulations established by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration. Training of incoming personnel in equipment and recovery procedures.
Function as SETA representative to Tiger Teams (promoting organ and tissue donor
awareness to the public through health care facility resources) for various hospitals in
both Brevard and Volusia counties. Maintain FDA regulations and logs on patients,
tissue recovered and disposition, as well as equipment maintenance and sterilization
records. Public Relations with both hospitals and funeral homes in Brevard and Volusia
counties, as well as with the Volusia County Medical Examiner's Office.
1996-2002 Orange County EMS & Rescue Squad: EMT-Basic, EMT-Paramedic, Assistant Chief of.
Functioned as EMT-Basic to EMT-Paramedic (as training and certifications progressed).
As Asst. Chief, was responsible for all day-to-day activities of the Squad, including, but
not limited to, scheduling of paid and volunteer staff members for daily operations of
four EMS Stations within the county, as well as Special Events; ensuring vehicle
maintenance of Squad vehicles. Interviewing, hiring and termination of staff members,
as well as evaluations and disciplinary actions.
1998-2002 UNC Air Care/UNC Hospitals at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. EMT/Long
Range Critical Care ambulance operations. Responsible for operation of Type I and Type
III ambulances, including over-the-road style Type III units. Daily maintenance
inspections of all operational vehicles. Scheduling needed maintenance for units.
Maintenance of unit mounted gases (H cylinders). Occasionally function as EMT-P for
transport operations/patient care. Attend public relations events for Air Care program.
