Celebrate Christmas in Petra!
Day 1: Amman
Arrival at Amman Queen Alia International airport, our airport representative will be waiting for
you with a name sign; he will help with your visa and will walk with you through the customs. Your
driver will wait for you in the arrival hall, also holding a name sign and he will transfer you to the 3*
Larsa Hotel in Amman for overnight.
Overnight at the 3* Larsa Hotel in Amman, based on double/twin rooms.
Day 2: Amman—Madaba—Karak—Dana
After breakfast drive to Madaba, to visit the St. George Church with its famous mosaic map. Con-
tinue to Mt. Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Follow the King’s Highway until
Karak to visit the immense Crusaders Castle. Transfer to Dana Nature Reserve for dinner and over-
night.
Overnight at Dana Tower Hotel, based on double/twin rooms.
Day 3: Hike Dana—Wadi Feynan
After breakfast start hiking from Dana Nature Reserve to Wadi Feynan. You have an experienced
English-speaking hiking guide with you from today. All meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner
are included with every meal a nice Bedouin cup of tea. Water, soft drinks and alcohol etc are avail-
able for an extra charge. Camping equipment, jeep and the chef are also included for the hiking
days. Your chef will prepare everyday a fresh meal for you.
Today you hike a spectacular downhill walk from Dana to Feynan through the sandstone gorge of
Wadi Dana. Private camping in Wadi Feynan including dinner and breakfast.
Total of 18 km hiking – 6-7 hours. Overnight camping in Wadi Feynan, including camping equip-
ment, dinner, breakfast, jeep, chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!

Day 4: Wadi Feynan—Abu Alsakeen - Wadi Araba
From Wadi Feynan you continue hiking to Wadi Abu Alsakeen where you will have lunch. Then con-
tinue to the Yellow Mountain in Wadi Araba where you will arrive to your private campsite for din-
ner and overnight.
Your luggage will be transferred with the jeep to the camping place. And you will have a donkey
available today so you do not need to carry the water etc by yourself.
Total of 22 km hiking – 7-8 hours.
Overnight camping in Wadi Araba Desert, including camping equipment, dinner, breakfast, jeep,
chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!
Day 5: Wadi Araba—Shakarit Musaid
Today you will hike through Wadi Araba Desert to the beautiful mountains from where you have
beautiful views over the surrounding area. A part of today you will be hiking uphill. Overnight
private camping at Shakarit Musaid.
Total 19 km hiking – 7-8 hours.

breakfast, jeep, chef etc. Bring your own sleeping bag – it's not included!
Day 6: Wadi Araba—Little Petra—Petra
After breakfast transfer by jeep to Siq al Barid (Little Petra) for a first taste of one of the seven
worlds wonders. Siq al Barid means cold canyon in Arabic. From here you will climb up the steps
and hike the back door route to the Monastery, one of Petra's largest carved façade. This route
gives also beautiful views over the surrounding area. Tonight you will be camping inside of Petra at
the Snake Monument, close to Jabal Haroun Mountain.

Day 7: Petra
After breakfast you will hike up to Jabal Haroun Mountain. It is believed to be the burial place of
the brother of Mozes, Haroun. It is a beautiful hike climbing up the mountain. After return down
and the guide will take you inside of Petra. Visit the Collonaded Street and the Roman Theatre.
From the Theatre you will hike via Wadi Farasa up to the High Place of Sacrifice. This route is not
taken by many tourists and so you are going off the beaten track.
From the High Place of Sacrifice you can take the steps down back to the city centre to visit the
Street of Facades, the Treasury and the Siq.
Overnight at 3* Petra Palace Hotel, based on double/twin rooms
After your visit of Petra, there are a few other options.

Al Qantarah restaurant with mezze salads and local main courses.

Day 8: Petra—Wadi Rum
After breakfast drive to Wadi Rum, famous from the red sand and rock formations. You will enjoy a
full day hiking in Wadi Rum Disi area. Through the beautiful different colours of sand. Arrive to your
private campsite for your last night of private camping. Enjoy your last evening sitting around the
campfire drinking traditional Bedouin tea. Soft drinks, water and alcohol available for a surcharge.

Day 9: Wadi Rum—Dead Sea
Enjoy your last few hours of hiking in Wadi Rum in the morning. After lunch you will be transferred
to the Dead Sea for overnight at the beautiful 4* Holiday Inn Dead Sea Resort.

Day 10—Dead Sea
Free day at the Dead Sea, lowest point on the earth's surface. Float in the salty waters and try out
the famous healing mud. There is an upgrade to the new 5* Crowne Plaza Dead Sea available (see
supplement at the price indication). It is a small supplement and then you could also enjoy a pam-
pering spa treatment (not included).
