1. Product introduction
Cationic reagent is a kind of cationic quaternary ammonium salt with high positive charge. Because
of its positive ion characteristic, it can make the related epoxy compounds become cationic, such as
carbohydrates(starch cellulose), polymer (cotton, nylon, epoxy resin, etc.). The main chemical
composition is 3-Chloro-2-Hydroxypropyltrimethyl Ammonium Chloride.
Molecular Formula is C6H15CI2NO.
Molecular weight is 188.10.

Under the normal temperature, this product is 69% aqueous solution and immediately transforms into
epoxy structure in alkaline conditions. So it is widely used for cationic modification of starch, guar gum,
cellulose and other material.

3. Application
1.Paper industry: It is mainly used as a liquid cationic etherification agent and massively used in
cellulose, cellulose derivatives and starch transformation. When reacting with starch, it can produce
cationic starch, which can be used as paper internal binder, paper reinforce, and packing and fine
cellulose interception auxiliaries.
2.Textile industry: It reacts with cotton fibers and thus improve the bonding of the dye; and produces
cationic starch when reacting with starch, which can be used as warp sizing agent.
3.Water treatment industry: Suspended solids in water present electronegative, and shall produce
cationic polymers when reacting with liquid cationic reagent, which are widely used in water
purification as flocculants.
4.Commodity chemical industry: Cationic guar generated when reacting with liquid cationic reagent
and other substances are important daily chemicals.

Our liquid cationic reagent has the following advantages:

1. How did you control your quality?
A. All raw material need be tested in lab for approval. It is not allowed to get in our factory once any
raw material doesn’t pass our testing. Qualified raw material guarantee our quality from the
beginning.
B. Full automatic DCS production line demands strictly on all production process including dosage
quantity, dosage timing, dosage point etc, operated by computer, Automatic DCS system
production line guarantee the quality and stability of product.
C. Finished product is tested several times. Before delivered product will be tested again to make
sure of the quality. Sample for each batch will be saved for 1 year and testing result will be filed
for 2 years. In this way, once our customer consult us about the quality, we could offer the detailed
record data which help us to solve the problem in time.

9.What’s difference from Dow’s or Samsung’s ?
Dow’s quat 188 has no smell, but their price is most highest among all producers. Samsung’s S-Quata
889 has a little lighter smell than ours, but appearance, usage, colorless, dosage is the same, now
many users choose to use our product instead of Dow’s and Samsung’s for more economical price.
