Please be advised of the Federal Regulations, (49CFR, Part 26, Section 26.83(j)) which govern our DBE
Program (copy attached). At any time that a change occurs in the ownership or control of the firm’s ability to meet size and
disadvantaged status, you must notify this office IMMEDIATELY IN WRITING, and submit a new application (if
applicable). Any false information submitted on your application will be considered grounds for decertification and/or
prosecution. In the event of a third party challenge to your eligibility status, this office will conduct an extensive review in
response.
It is also the obligation of J. Brown Construction, LLC to provide an annual update to maintain eligibility in our
DBE program. An Annual “No Change” affidavit will be sent to you approximately 2-4 weeks prior to your anniversary date
to complete, notarize and submit back to this office with ALL supporting documentation. If you should change your
company’s work description and/or need additional work type codes, you can look for those codes at
http://www.laucp.gov. You must notify this office of these changes/additions so we may update your company on the
LAUCP web site.
