Poor Lifestyle choices
8 out of 10 adults do not engage in physical activity or
exercise.
70 percent of adults do not consume enough vegetables
daily
59 % of adults between ages 18-29 do not get enough
sleep
Negative effects
o Poor eating habits can lead to diseases such as diabetes and
obesity.
o Obesity can lead to depression.
o Skipping breakfast can negatively affect cognitive
performance.
o Sleep deprivation can affect academic performance.
Causes
Studying late at night.
Busy lives such as full-time jobs, being enrolled as a full-
time student, and having children.
The convenience of choosing fast food then having to take
the time to cook.
Solutions
Make a plan
Stick with it!
Set Goals
Stay committed
Educate yourself
Some simple steps to make
Get 8 hours a sleep per night
Exercise at least 5 times a week 30 minutes a day
Eat lots of fruit and veggies
Drink plenty of water
