Re: Reference – Ms Jessica Lynn-Booy
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have known Jess Booy for almost five years. I first worked with Jess when she was
working in the administration team at Carosue Dam for Saracen Gold Mines as an
Administration Assistant when I was the General Manager – Operations, working together
for a period of around 15 months. Most recently, Jess and I worked together in her role as
a Database Administrator for Phoenix Gold for the last two years.
Through my working relationship with Jess, I have always found her to be loyal, honest, and
hard working. Jess’s key strengths include her strong administrative and data management
ability, excellent communications skills, and her level of consistency even when under
pressure. The operations at Carosue were quite dynamic, and apart from the general
administration duties, data entry, and management of the reception area, the administration
team also managed the logistics for 500 direct employees and contractors on site, along
with short term contractors, and corporate staff and visitors, being transported to site on
multiple flights to two airstrips and booked into to three separate camps separated along a
120km route. This role was quite demanding, and Jess took this in her stride, put her head
down without complaint and got the work done.
Jess is a self-starter and requires little supervision and direction. Jess has developed good
relationships with all levels of the organisation.
I have a good regard for Jess as a quality Mining and Database Administrator, and as a
person, and have no hesitation in recommending her to any prospective employer.
Yours sincerely,
Grant Haywood
Chief Operating Officer
