To Whom It May Concern
Jessica Booy was employed at Phoenix Gold as a Database Administrator. She commenced her
employment in May 2013 and concluded in May 2015.
Whilst at Phoenix Gold I was the Geology Manager and had the pleasure working with Jess for 18
months. Once mining commenced within the company, Jess directly reported to myself.
During my time at Phoenix Gold, I was been able to watch Jess develop into a very competent and
capable Database Administrator. Phoenix was a small exploration company, developing into a
mining company. This small team environment has been able to give Jess a huge opportunity and
advantage to learn all aspects of the database needs, both in the exploration and mining areas. She
took this in her stride, which helped enormously build her skill levels. Jess must also be commended
on her wiliness to help the entire team at any time. By doing so, gained the outmost respect and an
excellent rapport from her fellow work colleagues.
If the work load was either related to database or stand in office duties, it was always of the highest
quality and well organised. Jess's written, verbal communication and computer skills were excellent.
Jess also was able to demonstrate her ability to work well under pressured, to deadlines,
independently and was able to always follow through to ensure that the job was always done.
During her time at Phoenix, Jess was primarily responsible for the maintaining the highest quality
and integrity of the company's main Drill Database, using DataShed Software. This involved
validating and importing all aspects of current mining and exploration information. She was also the
companies liaising representative dealing with Assay Laboratories and training new employees with
the DataShed program. A large part of her duties also involved with on-going validating and
investigating historic technical reports. It also covered dealing with drill databases that were
inherited from previous companies. This work ultimately helped immensely in the growth of
Phoenix’s exploration targets and understanding our land packages.
Jess was a valuable member of the Phoenix Gold team, and I would not hesitate to either work with
Jess again or recommend to any future employer.
Please feel free to contact myself if you need further information on Jess's role at Phoenix.
Sincerely,
Trevor Eddie
