ADVISORY BOARDS
The Marion County Board of County
Commissioners currently has vacancies
on the following volunteer boards:
1. WellFlorida Council
(1 Full Member/Full Term)
Applicants must be a Provider of health
care services including physicians, den-
tists, nurses, health facility administrators
and members of governing bodies of
health facilities.
Responsibilities: Well Florida Council is
a resource for county health departments,
community-based organizations, gov-
ernment agencies and healthcare facili-
ties. Well Florida is known for producing
the county health needs assessments.
Members oversee Well Florida’s budget,
advocate for Well Florida’s services and
may advise County Commissioners on
health planning for their county, the region
and the state. Meetings are held once a
month at Well Florida Council in Gaines-
ville. (Specific information may be pro-
vided by Well Florida Council.)
Applications for said vacancies may be
obtained at the Marion County Board of
County Commissioners’ Office located at
601 S.E. 25th Ave., Ocala, Florida; online
at www.marioncountyfl.org or by calling
352-438-2323.
The deadline for receiving applications
is February 9, 2017 at 5 p.m. The
Marion County Board of County Com-
missioners plans to appoint members on
Tuesday, February 21, 2017 or as soon
thereafter as possible.
