Community Services
Jenna Engstrom
Ritenour School District – St. Louis, Mo.
Jenna Engstrom, 26, is the digital media specialist and website content manager for the Ritenour
School Distirct in St. Louis, Mo.
Jenna is a rising star in school public relations and has given us a glimpse into what the future of
school PR might look like. Her strong communication skills, creativity and excellent work ethic
make her a valued member of the Community Services Office.
In just two years working for the district, she has been the catalyst behind the district launching a
new website, has become the coordinator of our social media efforts and is the district’s
videographer and video producer. At the same time, she is also involved in our strategic public
relations strategies. She brings a high level of creativity and levels to all she does in the
department.
As part of her work, Jenna provides training, support and guidance to district administrators,
principals, teachers and support staff as well as monitoring and tracking all data associated with
the district website.
Jenna is an innovative, self-paced professional who very successfully works with a vast array of
audiences on day-to-day basis. She serves as the first contact with parents, teachers, students
with our website and social media. Her creativity and organizational skills are ideally suited to
develop and implement new and effective practices in our department.
As a result of Jenna’s efforts, the Ritenour Community Services office provides excellent
communication and support services for the district, our parents, students, residents and
employees. Her work contributes to the district’s improved perception and trust within the
community as shown on annual survey data. The data collected from Ritenour’s 2013
community survey, the website was the most popular medium for our patrons to receive district
information.
